For most clients, we only require a photo ID to verify an account. However, depending on the frequency and value of your transactions, you may be asked to provide additional documentation.

For all document uploads, please bear in mind that the document may need to be read by computer software.

Please ensure:
  • The image is one of these formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PDF, or BMP
  • The image is not blurry
  • The background surrounding the ID is a solid color and clear of text
  • There is no flash or light reflection on the document
  • The ID is not expired
  • The image is between 50kb and 8mb

In special circumstances, you may be asked to provide one or more of the following:

1. A copy of your credit card
This may be required to verify that you are the cardholder.
  • To protect your privacy, please cover the middle eight digits
  • The first and last four digits, the issuing bank, and the name on the card must be visible

2. A selfie
A selfie may be required in addition to an ID card to verify your identity.
Please ensure:
  • Your eyes are open and you’re looking directly at the camera
  • Your face is not blocked by anything as is the center of the image
  • You are holding up the ID card or credit card you used to verify your account
  • The image is recent and unedited

3. Proof of address
A picture of a piece of mail sent to your house such as a utility bill may be required.
  • A gas, electricity, or telephone bill is acceptable, a cell phone bill is not
  • Instead of a utility bill, an official document from a government, law firm, bank, or school is acceptable
  • It must be of a physical piece of mail, no screenshots
  • The document must be written in Latin letters (or translated by a guarantor)

4. Order Confirmation Form 210 or 310
We may ask that you sign an order confirmation form to ensure you understand our terms and conditions and the implications of buying cryptocurrency in your region.
  • Digital signatures are acceptable—we will send you a link to the document
  • Physical signatures are also acceptable—print, sign with blue ink, and send us a photo of the document by email
  • You will be asked to provide a supplementary image of your ID card to go with the confirmation

5. Order Confirmation Form 214 or 314
We may ask that you sign an order confirmation form to ensure you understand our cancelation policy and the implications of buying cryptocurrency online.
  • Only physical signatures (not digital) are acceptable—print, sign with blue ink, and send us a photo of the document by email
  • You will be asked to provide a supplementary image of your ID card to go with the confirmation

6. Source of funds form
We may request this form as required by law to ensure that the source of the funds you intend to use to purchase cryptocurrency was not from crime or terrorism.
  • We will send you a link to a form that is short and easy to fill out

7. Evidence of source of funds
Legal and regulatory requirements may also oblige us to request evidence of the source of your funds.
  • Please contact us by phone or chat to discuss acceptable forms of evidence.
